Discussion
Like the big fan I am of Van Damme and Seagal, I never miss any of their DTV flicks. I know they almost always suck, But I watch them still, for what they are, mindless low budget action flicks. This time we have Van Damme playing an Officer appointed Second in Command to an ambassador. He must protect an Eastern European President from being assassinated by extremists.
DVD
I actually bought this one a couple years ago; just saw it now for the first time. I don’t think I will be keeping it in my library for too long.
Video
Shot entirely in HD cameras, there was really no problem with the transfer they used. I up converted this one in my Blu Ray player to 1080p and looked spot on HD. Only issue was some scenes where dark, as I mentioned before.
Audio
The audio was all right, not too impressive for a 5.1. Surround. There were scenes were gunfire sounded like fire crackers.
Bottom Line:
If you’re not a fan of Van Damme, I would say pass, you will most likely hate the movie. But if you like action and Van Damme give it a rent or wait for a TV channel to show it.
